Exporting bookmarks to an HTML file
If you need to export your bookmarks to an HTML file to import to another browser or save them.
Chrome
1. Open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More .
3. Select Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager.
4. At the top, click More > Export Bookmarks.
Firefox
1. Open Firefox.
2. Click the Library button , then click Bookmarks. Scroll to the bottom and click Show all Bookmarks.
3. From the toolbar on the Library window, click Import and Backup and choose Export Bookmarks to HTML....
4. In the Export Bookmarks File window that opens, choose a location to save the file, which is named bookmarks.html by default. The desktop is usually a good spot, but any place that is easy to remember will work.
5. Click the Save button. The Export Bookmarks File window will close. Close the Library window.
Safari
1. Open Safari.
2. Select File > Export Bookmarks.
2a. If you don't see the menu at the top of your screen, click the Settings gear and Show Menu Bar.
3. In the Save dialog window that opens, select a target location for the Safari Bookmarks.html file, and then click the Save button.
Internet Explorer
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on the Star icon in the upper right corner.
3. Click the down arrow next to Add to Favorites.
4. Select Import and Export. An Import/Export Settings window will appear.
5. Select Export to a file and then click Next.
6. Select Favorites from the list and click Next, and then Next
7. Browse to where you want to save the exported Favorites file.
8. Click Export and then click
Finish.
9. Find the file you exported. Unless you renamed it, will be called bookmark.htm.
Microsoft Edge
1. Open Microsoft Edge
2. In the top right of the browser, click ...
3. Click Settings.
4. Click Import from another browser (technically the opposite).
5. Click Export to file.
6. Now you should get a Save dialog with a default file name in the format of Microsoft_Edge_dd_mm_yyyy.html
7. Save your bookmarks file to the desired folder
